The Company

Burns & Parks Painting is a family-owned business based in Plano, Texas since its beginning in 1979. The company is operated by our president, Chris Parks, who lives in Lucas, Texas with his wife and two children. Mr. Parks is a 2000 graduate of Texas Tech University and has been involved in the painting industry his entire life. He is the second-generation owner of the business that was co-founded by his father.

Our company was named after its two founding families—hence the name “Burns & Parks”. Currently, we are solely owned by the Parks family following the retirement of Jerry Burns in 2010.

Burns & Parks Painting operates in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and services projects throughout Texas and surrounding states. We have been involved in numerous paint projects, including commercial new construction, remodels, tenant finish-outs and repaint projects. Our resume of completed work includes sports and entertainment, manufacturing and healthcare facilities, corporate offices and headquarters, college and university buildings, government and municipalities, high-tech, and hospitality structures.

Our Staff

Burns & Parks Painting currently employees 1 office manager, 1 safety manager, 7 project managers and estimators, 2 superintendents, 2 delivery men, 14 field foreman, 20 lead men, and 80+ field employees.

We strive to provide a safe and positive workplace for our staff. Many of our employees have been with us since our beginning in 1979. Burns & Parks Painting employs only the most trusted, highly-skilled and highly-respected employees in the market and we therefore enjoy a very low turnover rate. We make it our priority to create a great working environment for all of our employees.

Safety

Burns & Parks Painting realizes the importance of safety and accident prevention on all projects—not only for our employees, but their families and those of our customers, as well.

We continue to promote safety through our extensive training of new employees and our continuing education for all current employees. This is achieved with routine training and job site visits that are conducted by our full-time safety director. Our foremen are OSHA certified and CPR trained, as well as many of our office personnel. Management strictly enforces all aspects of our written Injury and Illness Prevention Programs.

Green Commitment & LEED

Our company’s green advantage certified specialists constantly train and innovate to meet or exceed LEED requirements. Even in the absence of eco-friendly requirements on a project, we choose to implement these techniques to make sure we are doing our part to help the environment. Burns & Parks Painting has been involved with numerous LEED certified projects and utilize these approaches whenever possible.
